"A Boyhood Dream"

It all began in 1970 when I was just 8 years old. I still remember the day when the Riverside Gold, ‘69 Corvette Convertible arrived in my parent’s driveway……..that is one day I will never forget.

I wanted to become self employed and had a strong passion for sports cars and how to properly maintain them for everyday use. I also acquired my salesperson license in 1984 while living in Columbus, OH and soon found out the benefits of professionally reconditioning cars and trucks for resale. By developing a customer base of satisfied customers, I then went on open my own dealership In 1991 known as Bennett Specialty Cars in Mansfield, OH, buying and selling all types of unique vehicles and Corvettes. At that time I also became one of the first members of National Corvette Restorers Society to help compile data for the 1978-1979 and 1980-1982 Corvette Judging Reference Manuals. A special thanks goes to Lewis Russell for his efforts and thorough approach.
